How can distributed leadership drive transformation in education?
Join us for an inspiring conversation on how Ireland’s Creative Schools programme is putting creativity and the arts at the heart of education, through a shared leadership approach.
Hear from creative leaders Mags Walsh, Programme Director of Arts Council Ireland's Creative Schools, Sinéad Fraser, former School Coordinator and Damien O’ Reilly, Teacher Creative Associate, as we explore how they are each embedding creativity through their diverse leadership roles and how they are collectively contributing to meaningful change within the system.
This distributed leadership approach underpins ‘Creative Schools’ which supports primary and post-primary schools and Youthreach centres across Ireland, in placing creativity and the arts at the heart of children's and young people's lives. Participating schools and centres embark on a two-year guided journey to develop and implement a Creative Schools Plan unique to their own context. Children and young people’s involvement in planning, decision-making and reflection is also central to the journey.
