For our September meet-up, we are delighted to be joined by a number of schools who formed part of the North East Creativity Collaborative, an action research programme supported by Arts Council England. Working in partnership with CCE, the collaborative sought to explore, test and embed a range of innovative practices in teaching for creativity in response to one of the recommendations in the Durham Commission on Creativity and Education.

In this session, we’ll hear from lead school Cragside Primary and others within the collaborative, who will share the highlights and challenges of their three-year journey to embed creativity and creative thinking into the curriculum and the impacts this has had on staff and pupils.

This online session is part of a series of monthly gatherings, with opportunities to share openly. This friendly and informal session enables space to think, be inspired, explore approaches to overcoming challenges and learn from each other, supporting and building an inspirational and effective learning community of visionary educators across the country who are ‘Leading for Creative Thinking’.

Leading for Creative Thinking is an exciting chapter in CCE’s mission to bring leaders together to connect, share and embed creative thinking into every aspect of school life. It is brought to you by the international foundation Creativity, Culture and Education, along with esteemed partners - the Arts Council of Wales, the Centre for Real-World Learning at the University of Winchester, and Professor Louise Stoll 🚀

Let's pave the way for a more creative future in education!
